i've always said that springtime is my favorite season.
i think i made a mistake.
it is at this time every year, the time when flowers are starting to bloom. dead looking trees begin to show new green. the smell of freshly cut grass fills the air. you wake up to birds singing. flip-flops are suddenly everywhere. and the time every year when i deal with dreaded allergies.
why? why is it that every morning i awake to terribly itchy eyes half swollen shut, runny nose that will not stop, and itchy throat? why no matter how many different brands of "this will cure you" allergy drugs i take it seems not to matter. for the first three months of warm weather my body is in distress. and yet, i still cling to spring as being my favorite.
i think i'm going to change my mind.
autumn is beginning to look very inviting to me....
