who will pay attention when you dream?

for three years and four months i have called this "home".
during this time i have grown from a baby in the coffee world to a full-grown barista. i have built friendships- remembering just exactly how much cream mary and martha take (and knowing one woman from the other!), what temperture to make massage lady's chai, who adds hot water to their coffee, who gets skim milk, who would never drink a flavored coffee, who takes decaf-always!, how much room ann needs for cream, what kind of tea karen likes, what a "paul coffee" is.....i know the customers. i know what they like, what they dislike, and who's favorite coffee is banana's foster (dan). for three years and four months i have spent my time getting to know people, serving them, making them happy.
i have also been in the company of some of the most amazing and diverse women ever (and cuppy who is always full of car/life advice and wonderful stories). i have not only learned how to make the best cappuccino ever, but i've learned how to spell cappuccino correctly. i have learned life lessons, how to get over differences, how to take critisism, how to take praise....i have learned that no matter what is going on in my life, there is always an ear waiting at work. i have learned to be the ear! i have seen pain, joy, laughter and tears during my time here--i have been accepted into a family. this is becoming much too long and is beginning to sound much too somber! i will miss the place, the inside jokes, the fun, the family....but i will never, ever, forget what i have learned during my time with the coffee chicks! : )

A coffe shop sounds like a fun place to work. By the way what is a "Paul coffe"?
